Altrad Belle AT480 Diesel Road Tow Mixer

The AT480 is the larger of Altrad Belle’s two road tow mixers, built for contractors who move a high-output mixer from site to site behind a vehicle. It combines a 460 litre drum and 400 litre mixing capacity with a Yanmar L48V diesel engine, giving big batches on sites with no power supply.

Road Towing Ready The AT480 comes with an approved towing system, mudguards, tow hitch and an integrated lighting board with tail lights. Its wheel suspension is rated for speeds up to 55mph, and it runs on 500mm pneumatic tyres. On arrival, it converts quickly from road mode to mixing mode, and adjustable legs let you level it on uneven ground.

Robust Mixing Gear Three large gated mixing paddles work the batch, driven through a cast-iron ring gear and pinion with a protective guard. A large handwheel controls tipping and a foot-pedal locking system holds the drum in position. The engine sits under a canopy with integrated ventilation for cooling.

Easy Handling on Site A lifting eye and fork-lift sockets make it straightforward to load, unload and reposition the mixer with site plant when towing is not practical.

Diesel Power The Yanmar L48V diesel engine delivers 4.6Hp (3.4kW), giving dependable running on remote sites. The AT480’s mixing capacity is based on concrete dosed at 350kg/m³ with a firm consistency, so you can plan batch quantities with confidence.
