Description
Altrad Belle PCX 12/36 Loncin Plate Compactor
The PCX 12/36 is a heavy-duty 360mm forward plate from Belle’s PCX range, built for daily contractor and hire use. This version is fitted with a Loncin petrol engine, giving PCX build quality at a lower purchase cost than the Honda-powered model.
Heavyweight Compaction in a 14-Inch Plate The PCX 12/36 pairs a 360mm wide plate with a 12.5kN vibration unit, giving more weight and force than a midweight plate of a similar width. It travels at up to 20 metres per minute, which keeps it productive on paths, trenches and sub-base work.
Loncin Petrol Engine The Loncin engine is a popular choice for owner-operators and smaller contractors who want a dependable petrol plate without paying for a premium engine brand. It shares the frame, plate and vibration unit with the Honda version, so compaction performance is built around the same PCX platform.
Built for Site Use The PCX range is designed for heavy contractor and hire fleet use, with a robust frame that protects the engine and a compact storage size of 720mm long and 556mm high for transport. Optional extras include a paving pad, a detachable wheel kit and a water kit. The 14-inch plate width is a practical size for most footpath and trench work.
Applications The PCX 12/36 is suited to:
- Sub-base: compacting Type 1 and granular layers for paths, patios and slabs
- Trench reinstatement: consolidating backfill in drainage and service trenches
- Block paving: bedding blocks with the optional Belle paving pad
- Asphalt: small surfacing jobs and patch repairs with the optional water kit
Choosing the Right Engine If your fleet is standardised on Honda engines for servicing and parts, the Honda GX120 version of the PCX 12/36 is also available from Belle. The Loncin version suits buyers looking for the PCX platform at a lower cost.
