Altrad Belle PCX 20/50 Diesel Plate Compactor

The PCX 20/50 Diesel is the widest forward plate in the Belle PCX range, combining a 500mm plate with a 20kN vibration unit and a Hatz 1B20 diesel engine. It is built for contractors who need to cover large areas quickly and want their plate to run on the same fuel as the rest of their site plant.

Hatz 1B20 Diesel Engine The Hatz 1B20 diesel engine produces 4.6hp and is also used on other Belle compaction equipment, including the RPX reversible plates. Running on diesel removes the need to store and carry petrol on site, which simplifies refuelling and fuel management for fleets.

Wide 500mm Plate The 500mm plate covers more ground per pass than an 18-inch machine, cutting the time needed to compact car parks, roads, yards and large slab bases. With 20kN of centrifugal force behind it, it travels at up to 24 metres per minute.

Heavy-Duty PCX Build The PCX range is built for hire fleet and contractor use, with a protective frame around the engine and a cast baseplate. The PCX 20/50 is also available from Belle with a Honda GX160 petrol engine. It has the same 500mm plate width and 20kN rating as the petrol model, so crews can choose the fuel that suits their fleet.

Applications The PCX 20/50 Diesel is suited to:

• Large sub-base areas: car parks, roads, yards and slab bases
• Deeper fill layers: granular fill where a lighter plate would need more passes
• Asphalt: surfacing work with the optional water kit
• Block paving: large paved areas with the optional Belle paving pad

Optional Extras The PCX 20/50 can be fitted with a Belle paving pad, a fixed or detachable wheel kit and a water kit, so one machine can be set up for groundwork, paving or surfacing. A wheel kit is worth considering on a machine of this size, as it makes moving the plate around site and loading it much easier.
