Description

Altrad Belle Porto Screed Drive Unit

The Porto is the vibrating drive unit at the heart of Belle’s dual beam screed system. It clamps between a pair of aluminium beams and drives vibration along their length, so the operators can level and compact a concrete slab in one pass. Power comes from a Honda GX120 petrol engine.

Dual Beam Screeding A dual beam screed spreads vibration across a wide strip of concrete, giving a level, consolidated surface faster than tamping by hand. The Porto consolidates concrete to a depth of 150mm, which covers most ground-bearing slabs, yards, paths and driveways.

Honda GX120 Engine The 4.0hp (2.9kW gross) Honda GX120 is a widely used four-stroke engine with good parts and service support. Running on petrol, it needs no site power supply.

Beam Options The drive unit works with Belle Porto aluminium beam sets, sold in pairs:

  • 3.2m to 5.2m expanding set: one set adjusts to suit varying bay widths.
  • 5.2m set: a fixed length for regular bay sizes.
  • 6.2m set: wider bays; two drive units are recommended.
  • 7.2m set: the widest option; two drive units are recommended.

End frames are needed to brace the beams and are sold separately if you do not already have them.

Compact Drive Unit The unit measures 704 x 440 x 910mm (height excluding handle) and weighs 50kg, so it can be lifted off the beams for transport and cleaning at the end of the pour.

Supplied as the Drive Unit This listing is for the Porto drive unit only. Beams, end frames and handles are separate items, so you can build the screed to the bay widths you work to.

Typical Applications Ground-bearing floor slabs, farm yards and agricultural buildings, car parks, hardstandings, footpaths and driveways, wherever a long, level bay of concrete needs to be struck off and compacted in one operation rather than tamped by hand.
